I was looking for a sign for the exterior of a historic building restoration, and in retrospect you might have to pay more for something thicker that would last 100+ years. The etching depth is very shallow and the plate is slightly flexible, and I would guess this will remain legible at least 25 years, maybe a lot more, but it's hard to tell in advance. The company does give the correct info, so no problem with that, but just a warning that this might not be quite as permanent as you might want.

but the adhesive tape is not very strong, at least for outdoor use. We had to use gorilla tape to get the placards to stick on our mailboxes.. Expensive---you would think the original adhesive would be tougher
